SafeWatch allows you to comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations by filtering your transactions and your customer database against the official watch lists.

SafeWatch helps you to prevent emission or processing of any transaction referring to black listed entities. The enterprise server can simultaneously analyze a large variety of sources: text files, real-time flows, SWIFT messages, MQ Series, Database tables... All detections are sent to the central SafeWatch monitoring station, and users are automatically notified of alerts by e-mail.

Additionally to its filtering capabilities, SafeWatch emphasizes on enterprise-wide features such as:

At the heart of the SafeWatch solution is the SafeWatch Server, the central point of control of all your data flows (customer data, transactions). The Data Source Connectors capture the information right where it is and send it to the server to be checked. This structure allows SafeWatch to be extremely modular: you just select the Data Source Connectors you need. And you can still add other connectors later if needed. The flexibility of the Data Source Connectors allows to directly integrating with your applications, ensuring quality filtering without delays or data replication: SafeWatch adapts to your business process, not the other way around.

Name and eNameChecker

The Name Checker is a simple, manual checking application that allows typing a name and checks if it matches any black listed entity. The interface provides an easy and direct access to the server capabilities. It is typically used to allow an operator to directly query the server, and perform name verification interactively from a remote workstation. The eNameChecker allows the same functionality but in a web browser (thereby requiring no client application deployment).

File Connector

It allows the SafeWatch server to scan any kind of text file, using the relevant format information. You can define the layout of your own file using the format definition function. It natively supports various formats:

  • Free format text files
  • Fixed length or delimited ?les (any user-defined format)
  • SWIFTAlliance formats (RJE/DOS-PCC, Print-Out, archive backups).

SWIFTAlliance connector

The SAA connector is a client module, fully integrated in SWIFTAlliance Access using the Alliance Development Toolkit (ADK). This module automatically analyzes and filters all SWIFT FIN messages transiting through the SWIFTAlliance system. The filter prevents the emission of a suspect message. It will typically hold suspect messages in a special investigation queue. Actions on the blocked messages can be taken from within SWIFTAlliance or from the Alert Management module inside the SIDE Station.

MQ Connector

The MQ-Series Connector provides transaction-screening facilities to MQ-compatible external systems (such as core banking or middleware applications). This module uses IBM MQ-Series to communicate between your application and the SafeWatch Server. The MQ-Series interface is available on a wide range of hardware platforms, thereby providing access to SIDE SafeWatch on many environments (Windows, Unix, Mainframes, AS/400).

Database Connector

The Database Connector allows scanning data stored in any JDBC-compliant relational database. The flexible configuration allows SafeWatch to get data directly out of the tables our views, scan them, and even (optionally) update table fields with scan results.

SafeWatch API Connector

The SafeWatch API Connector allows to interface with external applications. This connector is designed to help customers who have to integrate the SafeWatch server with their application, or third party integrators who want to integrate the SafeWatch checking engine with their solutions.
